Favorite Web Sites

Some of my best years were those that I spent with VP-17 during my tour of duty in the United States Navy.

A former shipmate, Ger Spaulding, has done a wonderful job of creating a website for those of us who served with VP-17 during the early 70s.

Another shipmate, Greg Lane, put together an interesting YouTube Video that covers some of our escapades during that time.

After the Navy I returned home, attended college, and eventually ended up working for, and retiring from Chelan County PUD as their IT Support Supervisor.

When my wife, May, and I were first married she began her teaching career in Wenatchee at St. Joseph School. After taking several years off while starting our family, she returned to teaching at Eastmont School District where she continues to teach to date. May is currently teaching 2nd grade at Grant School.

Soaring has become a favorite pastime of mine and I enjoy flying with the Cascade Soaring Society in Wenatchee.

Winter continues to be my least favorite time of the year but it becomes somewhat more tolerable by still being able to ski at the Mission Ridge Ski Resort.

My neighbor up the canyon has a wonderful website, PitcherCanyon.com, that he maintains. It has a great photo of our canyon and is linked to his weather station as well. If you prefer, you can view the current Pitcher Canyon Weather on the Weather Underground Website.
